Nintendo seems to be fighting a losing game here. As you know, Nintendo released a firmware update for the Switch last night, bringing the system firmware up to 7.0.0.. As soon as the firmware was released, hackers went to work on cracking it. This time it only took hackers 4 hours to fully defeat the firmware's protections. If Nintendo wants to have a real shot at keeping out hackers, a hardware revision might be the only way.
