Unfortunately, we have some news to share about a recent cyber attack. Koei Tecmo's European website was hit by hackers, and it appears that account names, encrypted passwords, and mailing addresses were accessed. While that's certainly not good, we are hearing that credit card info or similar payment methods were not accessed. Koei Tecmo has temporarily taken down their American site as well in order to prevent any further attacks.
According to Koei Tecmo, up to 65,000 accounts of Koei Tecmo Europe's forum may have been compromised. The attack came in on Dec. 25th, 2020. There will likely be more info shared as Koei Tecmo continues their investigation, so we'll be sure to bring the details to you.
