Das Land existiert bis jetzt aber noch nicht.  Cloud Imperium Games hat eine neue Methode gefunden, um Spielern des Crowdfunding-Kolosses, der als Star Citizen bekannt ist, Geld aus den Taschen zu ziehen. Es handelt sich um die Möglichkeit, vorab Grundstücke zu kaufen. UEE Land Claim Licenses sind ab sofort erhältlich: ein 4km x 4km "lot" kostet $50, ein 8x8 "estate" ist für $100 zu haben, wobei Geschäfts-, Wohn- und Industriezonen zur Auswahl stehen.  CIG sagt, das diese Vorab-Verkäufe von Land helfen sollen, die Entwicklung von Star Citizen zu finanzieren, dass man aber später Land auch mit ?in-game credits? kaufen kann und dieses noch dazu "otherwise earnable through play in the game" sein soll, sobald das Spiel allgemein erhältlich ist. Wenn Sie vorab kaufen, erhalten Sie keinen schöneren Ausblick und auch keinen besseren Parkplatz als alle anderen und Ihnen wird auch nichts entgehen, wenn Sie sich nicht sofort beim offiziellen Spielstart einen Flecken Land sichern.  "Licenses can be bought for UEC in game and no one will be able to claim land before the mechanic is available in game for all. People that own claim licenses now, during the anniversary sale to support development, and people that earn the money in-game to buy one will be on equal footing assuming they have enough UEC, especially as there will be millions of locations for people to explore and claim within the Universe over the life time...
